ASKEW, The Carver & San Anto present: Up On It!
A group show curated by Robert Tatum; including work by students of Askew, The Carver Cultural Center & San Anto Cultural Arts. Askew students presented recent mosaic tile work. Carver students included drum performance groups, the Carver Drumming Ensemble & the Mombasa Code, as well as Capoeira demonstrations by Ile Bahia de San Antonio. San Anto students displayed documentation of their extensive mural work.
Cow Parade
The students' cow is on permanent display in the lobby of the Downtown San Antonio Library. The cow raised $23,000 for cancer research.
Fredericksburg Road Deco District
The Fredericksburg Art Deco district in San Antonio Texas is the home of Askew. We are helping the neighborhood's revitalization and beautification by installing mosaic street signs marking the blocks of the deco district.
Christmas Ornaments
The students made original ornaments as a fund raiser for the "Children's Cancer Research Institute".
